This is a ample giallo mystery movie from 1972.
There are alot of others from this period which haven’t even been released yet and this one has had two releases! It was quite controversial when it first came out with the inappropriate kill of two slight girls by a horrid child mollestor. Who kills off other characters too of course!. This was not a subject that was in movies noteworthy in the early 1970’s either. The worthy director ALdo Lado is a very valid artist and he’s at the top of his game here. He has created a movie with a infamous feeling of dismay that particularily erupts when a unusual song of singing children comes on. The acting is profitable in this one with the always immense Aldo Celi in a outrageous supporting role; George Lanzenby fills the role of leading man well too, and the charming Anita Strinberg is moving as well in the female lead role.

Like many giallos the killer wears shadowy gloves (lace ones this time) and the killers identity is not revealed until the last scenes of the flick. Making this a broken-down giallo cancel mystery with some bloody violence and a few sex scenes. A well-behaved giallo is in my view mountainous entertainment. Giallos always had a obvious zinge to them and hopefully blue underground can search out some that HAVEN’T been released before. Movies like the classics like ‘the etruscan kills again”, “the killer reserved nine seats”, “eyeball” and so many other broad giallos that should be out on dvd.
